Data on Prostate Cancer in Sudan

  • Estimated number of new cases per year: 599
  • Estimated age-standardized rate of new cases per year: 7.1/100,000
  • Estimated number of deaths per year: 509
  • Estimated age-standardized number of deaths per year: 6.0/100,000
  • Estimated 1-year prevalence: 478
  • Estimated 5-year prevalence: 1,632

The WHO Impact of Cancer in Your Country data tables provide the following data for prostate cancer in Sudan:

  • Estimated age-standardized incidence (in 2002): 16/100,000
  • Estimated age-standardized death rate (in 2005): 11/100,000
